The alumni of two of Mumbai’s top schools battled for top honors on 15th August 2008. St. Stanislaus battled against St. Mary’s ICSC on the St. Stanislaus grounds in Bandra, Mumbai.The refree for the match was Stan Lewis.

The match started at a frenetic pace with St. Mary’s dominating initial exchanges. This superiority soon resulted in their first goal. St. Mary’s continued to dominate and soon scored the second goal. They held onto this lead for the rest of the first half.

The second half resumed with St. Stanislaus rejuvenated. They played hard and fast football and stretched the St. Mary’s defense to the limit. St. Stanislaus soon pulled one goal back and continued to dominate and finally equalized in the dying minutes of the second half. A tie-breaker finally broke the deadlock with St. Stanislaus narrowly emerging winners 5-4.

After this absorbing match a sumptuous lunch was organized. St. Mary’s brought along some chilled beverages while St. Stanislaus organized some delicious biryani. Delicious starters were provided by St. Stanislaus High School. The lunch was partly sponsored by St. Stanislaus alumni Mr. Charles Dias, Mr Keith Mascarenhas and Mr. Joe Rodrigues.
